About the Job: 

InDev is seeking a Director – Social Impact Investments. This position is based in Bangalore, India. 

S/he will report to the CEO of the organization. S/he will lead the capital raising and fund raising for the ventures and initiatives being implemented by InDev and / or InDev's client organisations across livelihoods, financial inclusion, healthcare, energy and education sectors. S/he will develop and manage the relationships with the diverse stakeholders involved in the social impact investment sector. S/he will define and implement the strategy and business model for raising grants, debt, equity and hybrid capital from social impact investors, banks, development finance institutions, philanthropists, HNIs and others. 

S/he will do business development and enable acquisition of new partners for InDev. For InDev's partner organisations interested in impact investments and / or grants, s/he will do fund raising, networking, lead generation and proposal process management to help in this regard. S/he will provide advice and guidance regarding business models and operational improvements to InDev’s clients and help them implement the advice and guidance with the objective of successfully raising the capital needed. S/he will assist in due diligence and preparation of investment memorandums and assist in management of the investments as appropriate. 

 

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

- Lead the capital raising and fund raising for InDev's client organisations; 

- Develop and manage the relationships with the diverse stakeholders involved in the social impact investment sector; 

- Define and implement the strategy and business model for raising social impact capital from appropriate sources ; 

- Carry out business development and acquire new partners for InDev;

- Provide advice and guidance on business models and operational improvements to client organisations. 

 

Qualifications: 

- Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred; 

- Passionate about creating and scaling social impact;

- Preferred more than 8 years of relevant experience, with more than 4 years of experience in areas related to social impact investments; 

- Demonstrated financial, capital raising and fund raising skills; 

- Demonstrated track record of building relationships with social impact sector stakeholders; 

- Proficient with Excel, Word, Powerpoint and similar tools; 

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; 

- Fluency in English. Proficiency in multiple Indian languages strongly preferred; 

- Comfortable with frequent travel - up to 50% of the time.
