Our Team
The InDev team consists of seasoned, experienced professionals with deep expertise drawn from banking, technology, and corporate consulting backgrounds. They bring to the table a unique combination of the passion, innovation and best practices from both the social / development sector and mainstream corporate sector. The team is led by its CEO and Founder, Aimthy Thoumoung.
Aimthy Thoumoung, CEO and Founder - Aimthy has more than 20 years of cross-functional experience across strategy execution, operations management, business development, business consulting, technology implementation, financial management and venture advisory functions.
- Prior to InDev, Aimthy was leading the Advisory Services Practice for Unitus in India, where he provided guidance to MFI (Micro Finance Institution) partners on their strategy definition, operations planning and execution needs.
- Before Unitus, he was based in USA with the Business Process Outsourcing leader, Sutherland Global Services managing the organization’s Banking, Financial Services and Healthcare practice.
- Prior to Sutherland, he was with Infosys Technologies, managing large corporate client accounts for diverse IT services and consulting projects across USA, Europe and Asia.
- He holds an Executive MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business School, an MBA from Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from National Institute of Technology – Bhopal.
Anoop Nambiar, Vice President
- Anoop is a management consultant with more than 19 years of experience and is a senior advisor with strong
background in social development projects.
- He has expertise in the areas of inclusive finance, promotion of rural
livelihoods, and branchless banking.
- His consulting experience spans programs of development agencies, global
corporations, social businesses and start-ups. He has strong technology management experience in setting up and
growing new technology products, service lines and practices.
- Prior to InDev, he was a senior executive in the IT industry, with Accenture, Wipro and Infosys, advising global companies in different sectors on technology management and outsourcing.
- He holds an MBA from Indian Institute of Management - Bangalore and a Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering from College of Engineering, Trivandrum.
Birendra Pun, Lead - Inclusive Business Solutions - Birendra
presently leads the design and implementation of market-driven inclusive
growth initiatives within the agriculture and livelihoods space.
- He has more
then 9 years of experience working on agricultural development issues across
rural India in diverse roles.
- He possesses a
deep insight and understanding of government policies and regulations on
agriculture and subsidiary sectors.
- He has worked on various issues ranging
from mitigating risk and enabling livelihood opportunities for the fishermen in
the coastal belts of Maharashtra, to conducting studies and designing social
infrastructure for the beekeeping communities in the remote state of Nagaland.
- Prior to InDev, he has worked for NAFED,
IFMR and Tata Trust.
- He holds an MBA from Xavier Institute of Management - Bhubaneshwar and a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Nagaland University.
Seng Buragohain, Project Manager - After
passing out from Assam Engineering Institute in 2005, Seng worked in Sify Technologies Limited, Chennai from 2006 to 2011 in different
capacities in the fields of countrywide technical support, product testing,
project management and remote infrastructure management.
- After joining InDev in 2011, he worked for
the World Bank – APPL Assam Dairy Initiative through which more than 3,800 dairy
farmers from across the districts of Nagaon, Golaghat, Jorhat, Darrang and
Sonitpur were trained in dairy best practice to take up / carry on dairy
farming with integration into the dairy value chain ecosystem and appropriate
market linkages.
- He led the team of
Dairy extension workers selected from local
NGOs for the Training Of Trainers
Program at BAIF in Uruli Kanchan, Maharashtra
who had provided training to the dairy
farmers.
- Currently he is working for InDev projects with ERC Eye Care and GVK
EMRI in Assam.
- Prior to InDev, he has
done voluntary work with an NGO, Institute of Research and Documentation of
Indigenous Studies, for Numaligarh
Refinery Limited, Assam and in partnership with Microsoft India on a project enabling universal access to education, equity in education, delivery
of quality learning and teaching and more efficient education management,
governance and administration.
Sudhanshu Shekhar, Lead - Operations Consulting
- Sudhanshu is a
microfinance and livelihoods practitioner for more than a decade.
- His expertise is in addressing the rights based issues related to entrepreneurial growth in poor areas of India predominantly with respect to the subject of financial inclusion and livelihoods.
- Prior to InDev, he had worked as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Humana Microfinance with total Assets Under Management of USD 7 Million serving a clientele base of around 30,000 women across Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana in India.
- He has earlier worked with several reputed institutions such as Humana,
Micro Credit Ratings International Ltd. (M-CRIL), Intellectual Capital Advisory
Pvt. Ltd. (Intellecap), BASIX Consulting, Centre for Microfinance (Chennai), KAS
Foundation, and GE Capital.
- He holds an MBA from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.
